Sorry, this picture just had to go full screen. It was begging me to.
Doesn't it make you die a little inside??
Yeah me too.
Once upon a time I wrote an article about tattoos but it got lost in translation, somewhere, somehow. I decided to write another one because my love for tattoos HASN'T died just yet, to the great sadness of some people, A.K.A my parents. Sorry I guess.
I still can't understand why certain people are so against tattoos. If you are covered in them it's a little more understandable but if you only have small ones, well, I can't see the crime in that. I'm not going to use the same excuse tattoo-lovers do--"tattoos are a way to express yourself"-- but if you think about it, it kind of is. You can think of your life as an experiment, and your body as an element of that experiment that you have to "mess with" a little bit. Like a blank canvas. Of course, most people who get tattoos regret them at some point in their life. But I think that comes with getting a tattoo; it's just part of the game. It's a fact that people get a kick out of getting inked, whether it be a meaningful or completely insignificant tattoo. It's like a rush of adrenaline. Some like sky-diving or doing stunts because it might feel like a "near death" experience, others like getting tattoos because it's like defying something permanent; in other words, the notion of eternity. In both cases, it's about taking a risk, and I have to say it's one I'm willing to take!
I only have two small tattoos; an anchor on my shoulder and a little bird on my wrist. They have no special significance, I prefer not to get too attached to their meanings and everything because I get bored of things VERY easily. They just bring me back to the times when I got them, they're like permanent stamps from the past.
I know I'll get more someday, I just have to think of places where I can get them lolzz.
For the few who read this, try and answer these questions, I'm curious!
What do you think of tattoos? do you find them indecent? vulgar? do you think the words "elegant" and "tattoo" are antinomic? would you let your daughter/son get one? does your opinion change depending on the sex of the person who has one?
