designing away with good tunes

Photobucket

Apologies for the lack of posts!
I've been muy busy at school with 6357489 projects to hand in and still, the madness continues.
I'm now sitting at my desk with a huge mug of coffee and nerd glasses to get in the mood.
In the artsy mood that is.
Listening to 'feel good' good music to get my motivation going (you know, HTML can be a pain in the brain).
I actually work with HTML so much that I sometimes catch myself thinking in codes.
I don't see colors anymore, I just see '#83d7e1'.
Deep down I think it's kind of cool.

I saw this commercial for the Pepsi/X-Factor the other day and lemme tell ya. I am obsessed with that show and especially with Simon. I go completely fangirl on him. I've had a crush on him since I was sixteen. The man is HAWT. And he's so funny. And he's always right about good/bad singers. (L.A. Reid can suck it!)
And he has perfect white teeth. And a charming, make me drool on myself accent.
I think Ilene agrees with me.
ANYWAY.
This is not the point I wanted to make.
I just wanted to say that I'm listening to this song (in the commercial) on repeat to get my designin' on.
Busting a move from time to time as well.

Canon toy FOR SALE!

Photobucket
Photobucket
So it's officially official, I'm going to sell my camera.
I was originally going to sell it with my 18-200mm lens BUT it complicates things a bit.
See, that lens is quite an expensive little number and it would mean I'd have to sell the camera for double the price I'm asking so I'll only be selling the body.
There are seriously a million great Canon lenses for sale on the internet and it'd be a better deal for you.

the weekend and the camera I'm selling

Photobucket
Photobucket Photobucket
This is basically how my weekend went:
- I pretended to cook as you well can see (but you have to admit, I look pretty convincing)
- I answered emails
- worked on some school projects
- didn't go for a walk (but that's okay, I'm gonna start going to the gym, props to me)
- I watched Bridesmaids again,
- and decided whether or not I should sell this baby of mine. I decided to go with yes. I still have to figure some stuff out though, so IF you are interested, just hold your horses for two more days.
If you have any questions, email me with a subject line that has "camera" in it or something OR tweet me, I'd be happy to tell you all about my little toy.
I'm starting to get separation anxiety.

out with a bang

In other words:
I'm feeling oddly girly these last days and it's sort of bothering me.
But seriously, it's odd. It's like I'm cheating on myself.
"WHAT'S WITH THE PINK, WOMAN?!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am SO glad this week is over. One of my graphic design classes had me nervous-sick and I really don't do well with nervous. Nobody does obviously but I'm hardly ever nervous (it's terrible sometimes, if you really want to know) and when I am it's like my chillax brain can't process anything, it basically just sends me error messages -if that makes any sense- and I never know what to do with myself.
My point is, I need to blow off some steam 'cause this was JUST too much stress.
Too much stress in my tiny brain induces compulsions, and today it is convenient to say that these compulsions are leaning towards shoppin'. Sometimes they lean towards stuff like bacon, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills etc etc so it's safe to say that shopping is a sensible compulsion.
I don't have school today thanks to my college schedule-making skills and I can feel Forever21 calling my name.
I've got LOTS to do this weekend and I'll most likely start making awesome (but so ineffective) lists. That's another compulsion of mine.
Anyway, one of the things on my list involves selling one of my favourite little babies.
His name is José.
Kidding. I'm not talking about an actual child but about something that has been with me for two great years.
{hint hint: it likes memories.}
If you guess, you're cool.

On a funny note: I just want to say thank you to the people who Googled this to find my blog:
-mother of deja vu
(I feel so powerful with that for some reason)
-my own armpits
(yes I've got a pair of them too but I call them "my own armBradpits")
-big lula in chut images
(I know "chut" is a BAD word in some Indian language. And what does "big" Lula mean hmm?)
-deformed vegetable
(that's likely to be found on my blog, yes.)
-moroccan oil blindness
(what?)
-where can alcohol drinks be purchased
(oh COME ON. I don't talk about alcohol that much.)

This blog is getting classier and classier.
So. I thought I'd end this post with some of my fall favourites, you know to break the Indian insults, deformed vegetables, armpits, blindness and alcohol cycle.

inspo station: interiors

This is what motivates me to stay in school.
Stay in school kids, and maybe you'll be able to afford having a swing in the middle of your living room or a pool for a bathtub.
