Got sales?
(What I'm wearing- coat: GAP, top: Zara and gifted, jeans: Forever21, cowboy boots: Steve Madden, necklace: somewhere in South America)
First of all, I know it looks like I've been lazing around and not doing anything on my blog, but in truth, I haven't. See, I'm kinda revamping it and I'm sure all of you know how irritating it is to try to understand all things HTML and how bloody time-consuming it. Anyways, you shall soon see the fruits of my work!
Apart from all that annoying stuff, I went shopping.
Seriously, I think the best part of the holidays are the sales after Christmas. A $5 shirt, really? You betcha. I think I must've gone a little nuts amidst the sales because I bought a polka dot shirt and just so you know, I never and I mean never wear polka dots. So that's fun. Everything's from H&M, in case you were wondering!
Quick question: what do you guys think about cowboy boots? I've had these Steve Madden babies for about five years. I got them when cowboy boots were all the rage and I love them like there's no tomorrow.
Cheers, chickens!
PS: Although it may look like it on the third picture, I am not pregnant.

And so this is Christmas
(scarf: gift, top: GAP, sweater: Old Navy, jeans: Forever21, boots: AIGLE)
I'm going to say it again: THANK YOU people of the world, for being such great followers. I am so glad to be a part of this fun blogging community. Merry Christmas!

Now, onto more serious stuff. I cheated on the challenge. Shizah! Oh well, it's nothing surprising, I said I would so God forgive me. What have you all been doing? I saw some bloggers making incredible gingerbread houses and I cannot tell you how jealous I am of them, I've always wanted to make one of those! They always remind me of the witch's house in Hansel and Gretel. Yumm, that's what dreams are made of. The eatable house. Not the part where the witch lures the children inside. Obviously.
-Do any of you have suggestions on what to bake? I would more than LOVE to hear your ideas. Running low on imagination here.

Vodka Dots
OKAY so, apologies for yesterday's post. I have to admit it was quite a piece of crap (I'll refrain from using another word that best describes it). Today's post isn't all that much better but it could serve you well, if you have no imagination or if you don't know what to give someone for Christmas. As you can see, this gift happens to be alcohol. What could be better than to drink your pain away on the holidays hmm?
I'm just kidding. But it really is a fun gift and since you make it yourself, the person you give it to might appreciate it even more. Basically this is Limoncello, an Italian drink. I was introduced to it when I was about 10, by my parents to be more precise. Oh yes, we start at a young age in this family. You needn't worry my friends, I only had little sips, not enough to turn me into the world's youngest alcoholic. But anyways, it is the most delicious drink ever; it's thick, incredibly flavorful, (who doesn't like lemons?) and so deliciously refreshing. I tell ya, this is a crowd pleaser. And if you're into hard liquor and/or if you like the kick and the woozy feeling alcohol gives you, I promise, this one WILL NOT disappoint. For all you lightweights out there, just take little sips like I did when I was 10, it's still incredibly satisfying!
However, there is a little anachronism in the story. Limoncello takes about a month to be at its best, so you obviously wouldn't be in time to give it to someone for Xmas. What you can do is buy a fancy shmancy empty bottle (that you can decorate afterwards), put the vodka mixture in it and wrap it just like a Christmas present with little bows and pretty things, whatever suits you. Easy!

Now, for the picture of the day. {Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh}
For those of you who don't know this, that little fella down there is Spot. Wanna know something funny? His grandfather's the dog in The Mask, that movie with Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz. As you can imagine, Spot's a gifted little man by blood. We bought this little reindeer costume for him and it was the most difficult thing to get him in it because he was dashing all over the place like a bullet. Sorry for the bad picture quality, I took it with my Blackberry as quickly as I could!

Your true self

I guess you can call me animated/chaotic?

Banana cream pies and blueberry muffin scented candles
Oy vey, this challenge is driving me a little bananas here.
Speaking of bananas, let me tell you that I have never tried banana cream pie after seven years of living in the U.S. Is that weird? I think I've tried everything else in the book except for this one special pie. I don't know where the heck I got the idea that I had to taste this odd thing but I randomly Googled it and when I saw just how luscious it looked, I thought JEEZ Louise I really do have to try this baby. Naturally, I didn't bake it myself. I asked my kind mother to do it for me so that this whole process went swimmingly AND so that the pie didn't end up looking like a swamp. My only task here was to mix the ingredients, drool over everything and lick a few spoons here and there, just to so that they'd be easier to wash. Why else would I lick them, you know? It's not like the custard was blissfully delicious or anything.
Useless & juicy buys of the day: little vase and blueberry muffin scented candle. Yum-O!

Can't find a title for this, sorry!
Day 04 - A picture of your day
Okay so this is my Day-4 picture. I just painted my nails grey, in a futile attempt not to bite them, and I ate some apple pie. That's about it!
What boring, uninteresting thing did you do today?
Also, if you want to make your day less boring and have a laugh, you should go see this blog!

Let your freak flag fly
{sweater: Old Navy, jeans: H&M, boots: Urban Outfitters}
Hey yallzzz! I'm on lazy mode but this now-getting-annoying 30 Day challenge keeps me coming back to Blogville. So today I had to post a picture of the cast from my favourite show. But I have two favourite shows. And I didn't want to disappoint either one of them. They're family to me, you know. So...Sorry Mr.Challenge but this is me breaking a rule. I'm not going to post one picture of my favourite show but yes, of my two favourite shows. Such a rebel this Lula. And these are of course are 24 and Weeds. I'm watching all the 24 seasons for the second time and even if I know them by heart I still get major anxiety whenever I see Jack disarming a bomb or throwing himself out of a plane. It's so intense that I have to grab a pillow and scream in it so as not to deafen everyone around. As for Weeds. Oh Weeds. This show WILL make you laugh, and if you don't find it hilarious,(or at least funny) well, I think there might be something seriously wrong with you. Sorry.
That's it for today folks! Have a great, great weekend!

Let's get Christmassy (did you know that was a real word? I didn't)
Day 02 - A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest.
Oh hey! Well there you have it, the pictures for Day 2. They're a little dated, but anyway, that's my lovely BFF Naomi, (Nacho) who'll be joining us soon on the blogosphere. So freakinnnn' excited! She's kind of cool and she'll show you lots, and I mean lots of movies to watch. That girl's a pro.
Now, apart from that awesomness, I am on vacation, which is awesome as well. Know what else is awesome? The fact that it snowed on the first day of my winter break. {Apologies for the three "awesomes"}
Lovin' the silence of the snow. By the way, check out Spot ripping apart a little snowman plush. So much for the Christmas spirit!
Pictures down there, have a happy Thursday little monsters!

Thumbs up for greasy hair!
Day 1: Picture with ten facts
Well well well... it seems our dreaded Day 1 has arrived! Topped with greasy hair.
Let's get this started and bid farewell to the good ol' days!
1. I once swam with sharks in the Bahamas (tourist activity) and a week later a woman was eaten by those same sharks I had swum with
2. Both my father and I almost drowned in the seas of the Atlantic
{-- Thumbs up for my near-death experiences!}
3. Never collected anything and regret it
4. My dog is like my brother, only better
5. Made my Spanish teacher cry once (and no, it wasn't all my fault, that woman was a psycho)
6. I see dead people (jokes)
7. I'm very clumsy at times and it's kinda funny, except when I break school material
8. I like tattoos, the small ones
9. I'm currently afraid of stink bugs because they always hit me in the face and WHY do they even still exist in this weather?
10. I can hold my breath for two whole minutes. Don't laugh, true story.
Annnnd I guess that is it for the first day. Cheers!

Sheeshhhh. Oh well, a challenge is a challenge I suppose. I'm afraid I'll cheat though, you know, skipping days and all that jazz. Actually, let me rephrase that, I know I'm going to cheat one way or the other.
The challenge shall begin tomorrow!
And already regretting this senseless decision.
Who wants to join in on the fun!?
Yea, thought so.

This looks so professional but really, let's not kid ourselves
Yes yes, THIS is what professionalism looks like. Kidding.
My sister and her friend (the sexy blonde gal up there) are doing this website called Separate Sunrise to showcase their creativity and their skills 'cause mann they're good.
So we did a shoot to create their logo or whatever and among the gazillion pictures we took I picked these babies to show ya how cool they are. The website isn't up and running just yet but it should be done in a week or so, at least we hope it will! Make sure you check it out!
I'll put the link on my sidebar when it's done anyway and if you feel like it you can go have a look!
Hihi lots of exclamation points!
They made a parody of Eminem's and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie" a while ago, WITH a Portuguese twist. We speak all kinds of languages here. Anyways, I can't bear the thought of listening to that song again because they filmed it in our basement for two straight weeks BUT it's kind of awesome.

take me, I am hallucinogenic
Hello people! Behaving yourselves?
Did nothing special today; went to class, stressed about a deadline, came home to my new found friend, the laptop, and took pointless pictures. I'm trying to think of something more interesting to say than " hey guys look at me I took a hundred pictures of myself" but I might be a bit more of a bore than I actually think I am.
'Nyways, I guess this post is about as useless as the pictures I took with my webcam, except maybe for the Salvador Dali moustache. It's a little cool.
Anyone seen this documentary? This is the real-life Devil Wears Prada and it's pretty interesting!

MOTHER F
(long sleeve: Forever21, cardigan:b Urban Outfitters, coat: GAP, jeans: H&M, boots: Forever21)
Oh my gawhh it's starting to get so so cold here I think I might have to start wearing leggings under my jeans. How did I ever survive a year in Canada?
I took these pictures when I got home and you don't know how silly I feel while taking them. It seems Spotty doesn't like them either since you can see him throwing himself at me trying to take a chunk out of my arm (or my coat, perhaps he likes corduroy) with his baby teeth.
Anyhow, I was in for a very pleasant surprise when I got home today. My dad, who's a very handy man and who loves to work on the house and the garden, always orders weird tools and huge machines off the internet so we regularly get mysterious packages through the mail. I'm afraid FedEx will show up with a tractor at our door someday. Anyways, today the package wasn't a new lawn mower but rather THE computer I had so long been drooling over and I had no idea my father had bought it. He phoned me while he was still at work and asked me to open the package to see if he had purchased the right "screw driver" or whatever (little did I know it was my beloved laptop) and when I saw the word "Toshiba" I fell to the floor in excitement. I think I screamed for an hour or so with Spot looking at me like I was mental. Which I am, kind of.
So yes, excitement.
Not so exciting: I'm filming a game show tomorrow for my TV Production class and I apparently have to be one of the contestants dressed up as a tennis player. It was either that or a cheerleader. Gahhh.
