AMEN to THAT! Seriously I've been waiting for five years to be able to go to Lisbon for Christmas. Each year I pray for this to happen and it is FINALLY happening! Happy girl right here! I cannnoooooot wait to see my friends and my family again, I don't know how I would've ever made it to summer without seing them!
Anyway, promise I won't go MIA on the blog this time. I'm actually pretty positive that I'll load this baby up with a billion posts to the point where I'll clog your Google Reader feed. So. Apologies in advance.

Going back to Lisbon for a sec, told ya I had more pictures to come!

Stupidly fun day let me tell you. 

You've met Mr.G already and let's just say that we always spark some fuss when we're together, whether it's bursting into a police station like the end of the world is coming and falling on the floor in front of five officers just to ask them where the nearest train station is, talking too loud on buses, or even going to random -expensive- hotels to sneak into pools. Trust me, that probably sounded more illegal than it really is. 

Anyway, this little guy is completely nuts, that's obviously why we get along. He's the kind of friend that falls with you (and I don't mean that in the metaphorical, sentimental Miley Cyrus way, I mean like really falling on paved ground -worst thing to fall on by the way- in the middle of the street.) It was the kind of falling where I ended up with a foot on my face and him, with his glasses put on backwards. 

We get up, we get up. With the help of tourists. And fall back down again. Probably after wow-ing everyone with an improvised tango.

See that champagne glass? Got it for free my friends. We just have that special charm.

We went down a street where some guy was getting rid of a billion plastic flowers, so of course, we jumped right in thinking "oh this will make a nice gift for our moms!". Kidding. We just jumped in.

Two friends and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to the beach back when I was still Portugal and let's just say it was a fun day. Except the part where we fell on algae covered rocks. But that was fun too.

what happens in Meco, stays in Meco

I didn't know which picture to start this post with so I thought, ehh, can't go wrong with watermelons and stracciatella yogurt. Like watermelons and yogurt with chocolate, Meco is fun, juicy and totally sweet. Seriously though, Meco has got to be one of the funnest places on earth. 
My friend's uncle owns a gorgeous Bed & Breakfast called the 'Casal do Frade' (difficult to pronounce I tell ya) and we get to crash there for free EVERY year. Oh yaa. I love having cool friends.

We do help around the house though. Especially the kitchen. I've become a pro at washing dishes.

This is Franny (for Francisca), just my bestest friend in the whole wide world. Love her, she's a crazy one.

Franny, Guilherme (her cousin who works there) and I. We were cleaning rooms and eating the guests' Ricolas. Kidding. We didn't do that.

Ola!

So I know it's been a heck of a long time and I can't say just how sorry I am not to have posted anything for the past... five years. Portugal does that to me. I just get sucked in by the fun I have here and it's like I never have any time to spend on the internet. I'm here once a year and the thought of being away from family and friends for more than ten minutes makes me want to tear my hair off. I can't say I don't miss blogging, 'cause hellzzz I do. I miss my twitter friends (and you know who you are) and my daily juicy blog reads. 

I'm sorry if I've disappointed some of you, heck, I hope someone's still reading this blog! But if you're not I 'totes' understand. I'm still in Portugal and I'll sadly get back to D.C on the 25th. From then on it'll be studying, blogging, studying... and... eating. Emotional eating to be more precise. Going to miss Portugal so much that I'll have to eat at least eight cheeseburgers, a jar of pickles and two bowls of cereal to fall in a food coma and forget everything. 

Anyway, I've got loads of pictures and videos I need to publish on this little blog, so IF anyone out there is reading this, brace yourself!

In the meantime, let me just introduce to you some -very- fun people. These pictures were taken at the beach (duh) in a town south of Lisbon.

This is my alcoholic friend who we'll call Mr.G. oh he's a funny one. Not a real alcoholic by the way, he just likes to boogie. At 11 in the morning.
