Photobucket needs to die.

lkihlk1

Well I apparently went over the 10GB monthly "bandwidth" (whatever that means) limit on my Photobucket account. SO my photos will be blocked and will only be reactivated February 2nd which is still a long time. Arhhh I'll probably have to pay for that "upgrade" thing. Little sods.
In the meantime I'll be using Flickr or something. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Cheers!

DIP {Day In Pictures}

Soooo these are my pictures for the day. My sister took that first one 5 minutes after I had woken up. Hmmya.
I went to the mall and I saw these glorious boots that I fell in love with. I tried one boot on and I asked the lady if she could get me the pair in a size 7.
She returned with empty hands saying that they only had one boot left.
...
What?
How can you only have one boot left?
I was really bummed about that. More than bummed.

I miss summer.

Are you wondering how old those boots are? I honestly don't know. I don't even know where I got them. It's like this huge blank in my mind, I have absolutely no idea where they come from.
I know, I know, they look like somebody wore them to go to war or something but I just cannot get myself to throw them away. They've been to many different places and they have that little charm I like. They got sole! Ha get it, they got sole/soul?

I decided to do a "summerish" kind of post because I'm so bummed with all this snow. I miss summer so so much and I thought it'd be, well, refreshing. But it's actually making me miss it even more.
Sorry about my top being so transparent. That damn flash. Oh and sorry about the plunging décolleté also. That damn flash. Kidding, that was my fault, not the flash's.

Last thing: I got a package yesterday!! Not just A package but THE best package EVER. See, after I did a guest post for the lovely Cierra over at the Yellow Houseshe said she would send me one of her beautiful photographs as a thank you. Can you believe that?! And I even got to pick the one I wanted. Marvelous I tell you. And have you seen how cool the whole package is? And her handwriting? I wish I could write like that.
Wanna see more of her wonderful work? Click here

Have a great weekend!

It's snowed so much today that all my classes were cancelled. Holla!
That's my dad in the pictures by the way. Oh and Spot.
I also ate a whole block of snow just to see how the passengers of the Andes flight disaster survived.
Kidding.

DIY: ombre hair

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

Ha, I don't think I've ever seen as many consecutive pictures of me before.
Anyways, I'm the kind of person who's always changing hairstyles/hair colors, I basically can't spend more than a month without changing something about my hair because I go nuts. It's like hair ADD and I think it might be some kind of pathological condition. This little DIY experiment is a way to fulfill my permanent dissatisfaction/boredom with my hair which is, if you ask me, absolutely delicious. Love a good excuse to mess with it. I did it myself and I used a bunch of different products AND I managed not to ruin my little locks even with the bleach and stuff, so 5 points for me! Another 5 points for the fact that I paid no more than $25 for this whole look. Kinda brilliant ain't it? A regular salon would've charged me at least $100, which is ridiculous when you think that you're paying for 5 inch roots.
If you have any questions about what I did to achieve this ombre hair or what products I used, ask away! I know how much our hair means to us ladies.

School day

Photobucket
{top, sweater, pants: H&M, boots: Sperry Topsiders, necklace: Home Goods}
Today was my first day of class (since my winter break lasted a whole MONTH) and I'm realizing how sloppy this outfit looks. Sorry about that! But anyways, I'm taking really different classes this semester, I have Spanish/art history/graphic design/ photography so it oughta be interesting.
Other fun news: my mama's friend who's an artist & and art teacher in Buenos Aires asked me if I could help translate her website (as well as the university website) from Spanish to English. And possibly to French. I guess the Spanish course came at the right time! I'm also going to be editing some pictures for her which is fantastic because hellarrr, I have one more good excuse to spend time on Photoshop.
Also, I ran into a door today at school, in slow motion kind of. Just a tad embarrassing. Nothin' I can't handle. I have done much, MUCH worse.

Besos con queso ( that means cheese)
Bueno.

A family video

Photobucket

Every summer my family/friends and I go to this charming little place in the North of Portugal called Ronfe (I know, weird name right?) where some uncles of mine own a huge estate. The other day I found some footage of last year's trip to Ronfe on my sister's computer and I thought I'd make use of them and make a little video! And since I'm still feeling uninspired as to what to write on this blog I thought I'd share this video-montage with you!
It'll probably be a little confusing to watch 'cause you'll hear all kinds of different languages (French, Portuguese and English) but there's a lot of background music, so, yeah.

And in case you were wondering, yes, I'm the girl who screams "merde" in the middle of the volleyball game. And the one with the anchor tattoo.

ps: watch it in HD, much better!

Haven't got a clue what to write today, not very inspired really! This is what I wore for today's lazy day, a shirt my father doesn't want anymore. I love these huge shirts you can get lost in. Pair them with tights and oh mama, you'll have a great afternoon. I watched 127 hours the other day, anyone seen it? Brilliant movie, can't seem to get enough of Danny Boyle. I'll probably do a little post about him tomorrow. If I'm feeling intellectual.
Also, a big thank you to durbansweatheart for giving me the Versatile Blogger Award!
Cheers

new blog

Ladies and gents, may I present to you my newest blog addition! Have no fear, it's only an extension of this blog here. I like to be organized when it comes to blogging (it's the only thing I keep organized, ha, shame on me) so I decided I'd do a separate blog for other pictures I take. Nothing exciting really. Have a look if you like! (All you have to do is click on the picture.)

Golden Globes favourites
-------------------------------------------------------------
Photobucket

Did you guys watch the Golden Globes? I know many people thought Ricky Gervais was completely out of line because of his harsh jokes but I thought they were genius. The joke he made about Bruce Willis being Ashton Kutcher's father was priceless. And so was the the one where he listed Robert Downy Junior's drug rehabilitation centers as the places we'd best know him from. I think I laughed for thirty straight minutes. Sylvester Stallone was completely oblivious to the fact that Gervais was mocking him when he said that his movies were of such a diverse nature, quoting "Rambo" and "Rocky", in which he basically plays the same characters. Stallone actually went on to thank Gervais on stage with an appreciative nod which was even funnier because it made him look twice as dumb and  unaware of Gervais' sarcastic remark.
I can't understand how he could have missed his joke when Gervais was clearly mocking every single actor he introduced from the beginning of the show! Did he think he would be the exception among all those great actors? Why in the world would he think that he'd be the only one not getting made fun of? Oh well,he probably has too much collagen in his face to understand anything anyway. Poor guy. No offense to Sylvester Stallone fans by the way! I think he's cool.
Some people didn't find this funny, but heck, I sure did! Would you rather watch a show that feeds celebrities' egos or be entertained by a clever (British) guy who makes fun of them? That's what comedy is and Hollywood should seriously get a sense of humour. I saw a comment somewhere that said "I am glad this happened so people will finally realize how unfunny Ricky Gervais is. Bring Robin Williams on, or even Steve Martin". Steve Martin? Really? I think not. Oh and this comment was really good as well: " At the end of the night I thought his comment about thanking God for making him an atheist was really uncalled for. I thought that was a very sad attempt to be funny. This man just seems very sad to me". Ah my gashh both that comment and Ricky Gervais' joke made me laugh. A lot. Come on people, don't take things too seriously. And a word to the person who left that comment somewhere; Ricky Gervais is everything but a sad man. He's brilliant and we should give him more credit for having the guts to make fun of such powerful people and just pushing the envelope.
Oh and may I just say that Robert De Niro is the most talented actor to have ever lived. When they summed up his career in three minutes I was blown away by how much he has accomplished. Bravo!
------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the red carpet. I NEVER miss the red carpet! Angelina Jolie is always among my top 3 favourites, she's so gorgeous whah. Not a big fan of Olivia Wilde, or of Anne Hathaway for that matter (I find her SO annoying) but they both looked incredible. Last but not least; Catherine Zeta Jones. I think she might just be the most beautiful woman alive, for reals. Megan Fox ain't got nothin' on her!

I'll leave you with Ricky Gervais' opening monologue (I died of laughter with this shizzle)

Today I helped my sister and her friend dye their hair. RED and BLUE. That's right. Some guts they've got! The bleach made me sick and I have a massive headache right now. I also managed to get the bleach under my nails which are now burning and itching.
So I'm off to do some serious nail-biting.

Hope your week is off to a splendid start!

PMS + buys of the day

In case you were wondering, YES it's that time of the month. You girls know what I mean.
Do you ever feel so frustrated that you have to let everyone know how angry you are? For the few guys who read this blog, either stop reading this post right away or be prepared for a little hate note against you. Not you individually of course, just your gender. I'm not a huge feminist or anything but BOY does this piss me off.  WHY do WE girls have to go through the crappy stuff while guys get to sit around and watch football? WHY do they have a better metabolism then us? why do WE get knocked up? Not to mention that we have to endure childbirth which must be a pain -not in the butt- but in the VJ. (Excuse the graphicness by the way). Oh and on top of that we can't even drink. What IS that?! Don't get me wrong, I'm sure pregnancy is awesome, I mean, isn't such a good excuse to eat donuts all day long? But then the part where we actually have to give birth gives me the hibbie jibbies. I think I'll ask for a good dose of morphine. Back to my complaining . Why do we get cramps? Right now I feel like someone is ripping my uterus apart. THANK YOU Mother Nature, THANK YOU for blessing us with such a nice monthly gift.
I'm done! Thank you for listening Blog.
Moving on to the good stuff. PMSsing also has its perks. It's a good excuse not to ever get up and to boss everyone around. My momma even gave me this little necklace. Ain't it precious? Also bought that face powder. Which to me looks a little cool. Oh and I got that little agenda for free at CVS. Love free stuff. Everyone does, I know, but I like the useless stuff too, like little pins that say "Chuck Norris's beard can grow a mustache". In other words, junk. But what can I say, I like junk.
The chocolate bars are obviously for cravings. The Oranges & Cream one was heavenly.
Oh mama this post is long. Better get back to my chocolate now.
