Kiss 2010 goodbye, kiss 2011 hello : the year in pictures (sort of)

Whew! I don't think I've ever made so many collages in my life.
OK wow, sorry if I'm blinding you with all these pictures.
'Nyways, I guess this is kind of what my year looked like, just kind of. Rest assured, I won't bore you with the uninteresting details.
Moving on.
It's 2011 people! We have one more year until the end of the world. Nahh I'm kiddin' ya. I don't really believe that the world is going to end in 2012, although I have to say that sometimes, just sometimes, I get the hibbie jibbies if I start thinking much about it too much. Paranoia, you know? And I mean, those Mayans weren't exactly dumb.
So I know that we all make the infamous New Years resolutions. Don't deny, we all do, even if they are far, far in the depths of our mind. However, I do understand that some people try to avoid these resolutions because they can often be quite discouraging when we realize (a year later) that they completely fell though the cracks, either because we forgot about them, or worst, because we set our standards too high in the first place and we couldn't successfully achieve the goals we had so optimistically set at the beginning.
I came across a blog yesterday where a girl said that New Years resolutions got in the way of life. Forgive me if I don't link back to this clever gal but I just can't seem to find the name of her blog and it's kind of driving me nuts so PLEASE, feel free to tell me which blog I'm talking about. Anyhoo, smart remark "anonymous blogger"! They do get in the way of life, but instead of pushing those things we know we should accomplish aside, we should take them as a challenge and say, "Pshh girl, I can do this". Jeez, I'm starting to sound like the Indian guru in Eat, Pray, Love. Now, don't you go thinking that I always follow through with my resolutions, because honestly, they go out the window most of the time.
I'm going to try to make this year an exception because umm.... I like how 2011 sounds...? and maybe because I think the world is going to end in 2012. And also because I want to go to heaven.
SO, my resolutions involve starting an Etsy shop (maybe, just maybe), hitting the gym (or not), procrastinate less, and find an internship. That's all I can think of right now.

it really is funny how resolutions can become more like roadblocks if you're not careful :p yours sound great, though! Happy New Year! and lovely pics, as always :)

Love the pictures! If anything I was blinded by how great they are!
And thank you so much for the compliment on my blog. And after reading your new years post, yours definitely does not suck by any means! I love what you wrote, and all the while you made it entertaining and enjoyable
I've given up on resolutions personally though. Having something there telling me to do something just makes me want to do it less. haha Best of luck with yours though and definitely following back! ♥

Lovely pictures!! I don't really make resolutions at the start of a new year .. I constantly have aims which I would want to achieve no matter what month it is. :) But as you said, everyone has something to improve or something new to do!

I never make any because I never stick to them or find anything that would be really worthwhile that I would stick to! Yours on the other hand are worthwhile! I definitely think you should go for the Esty shop!
Love all your photos xx

Happy New Year Lula! Ugh, I've been freaked out by the whole 2012 ordeal after watching a documentary on the History Channel.

But on a happier note, I love your "Eat, Pray, Love" way of thinking! I like how your goals are realistic. I've decided to take that approach this year also.

Good luck! And can't wait to see what the future brings to your blog and etsy!!

xoxo,
Grace

Thank you so much for following my blog!

I don't call my 'resolutions' by that name because it feels like I'm dictating that I can designate a specific time to get my butt into action and create changes. Still, this year I had to come up with some real goals because this year is going to be full of changes so perhaps I've fallen in with everyone else! :)

Happy new year!

I love that your photos look like that they were taken in the 60's. =] And I totally agree about resolutions. It's probably why I've stopped making any. Instead I have a constant resolution as I strive to be a better version of me whether it's to smile more, help more, indulge more, etc. =]

We have someone going around asking for follows and we do not encourage that and have made that very clear on all of our posts, so I apologize if anyone comes from our hops asking for that! Apparently they do NOT read and we just delete their comments. If it bothers you, i am sorry and can totally relate...but rest assured we are not that kind of blog hopping site!~ so link up whenever you can and ignore/delete those who do not follow simple etiquette! I know many of our members who would love to come be your friend-your site is that amazing!
