DIY: ombre hair

Ha, I don't think I've ever seen as many consecutive pictures of me before.
Anyways, I'm the kind of person who's always changing hairstyles/hair colors, I basically can't spend more than a month without changing something about my hair because I go nuts. It's like hair ADD and I think it might be some kind of pathological condition. This little DIY experiment is a way to fulfill my permanent dissatisfaction/boredom with my hair which is, if you ask me, absolutely delicious. Love a good excuse to mess with it. I did it myself and I used a bunch of different products AND I managed not to ruin my little locks even with the bleach and stuff, so 5 points for me! Another 5 points for the fact that I paid no more than $25 for this whole look. Kinda brilliant ain't it? A regular salon would've charged me at least $100, which is ridiculous when you think that you're paying for 5 inch roots.
If you have any questions about what I did to achieve this ombre hair or what products I used, ask away! I know how much our hair means to us ladies.

what a cute post! Thanks so much for the great comment on my ponyhair post. I really hate animal cruelty also, I've seen the same videos and dated hippie vegan guys a couple times, lol. I guess what it all comes down to is ethics, morals, and how much you love (live) animals. I'm so glad you're following my blog! I'm following yours also (another duh) and I hope we become blog-friends! <3

I love your hair! Your so pretty! & I'm excited it makes my (currently going back to natural grow-out) hair look hip ;)

Thanks for loving my name, I love having a unique name. I think Lula is pretty awesome too, I've never known a Lula so that's bonus points for sure :)

I had to pass the cravings along! My friend sara teased me with her cheesy mac and veggie dinner and now I'm showing off cheesy squash.. you're next! make something that makes blog-land jealous ;)

LOVE YOUR HAIR! I had a dream I did this to my hair... but my friend did it to hers first. so I have to stick with plain dark brown. boo.

Have a great night love!

Hair is such an easy thing to change that makes a HUGE difference in how we look and how we feel. We can't change our weight that quickly and make-up can only do so much, so hair is the next best thing.

I wish I had your guts to change mine more often! Or at least your creativity. I have ZERO creativity with my hair!

Love it ;) I've been patiently growing out my highlights to get the look but this is so much quicker, and great results.

I like your new hair. While I don't dye my hair if I don't cut it every 8 weeks, I go nuts. After about 6 weeks I start fiending for a haircut.

Your hair looks great! I, also have hair ADD, it's a curse... and sometimes a gift! I dye my own hair, at least, so, when I decide to change the colour, it comes at little expense

Ombre hair looks amazing on you! And yay for DIY! Still great result even though you did not do it in a salon. x

I'm loving the ombre trend right now! I'm not brave enough to try...so stupid of me.

It suits you well!

I'd love to know how you achieved it!

First off, you have beautiful hair. I love the length, I have been thinking about cutting mine for quite a while but even though I want a change, I love long hair so I will keep sleeping on it.

Secondly, you deserve an award for doing this yourself. Hellow, bleaching? I tried dying my hair black once and let me tell you the outcome wasn't what I wanted.

This is a great idea. I always wondered why people would pay upwards of $100 for something that naturally happens when your hair grows out especially after summer with lighter highlights. I wish I had the guts to dye my hair but I am still too scared. Maybe when I get too many greys.

Hair ADD- That is hilarious! I wish I had that, maybe I would wash/take care of mine better!
