I always ALWAYS start designing with an inspiration moodboard. I always ask the people who I do design work for to give me a sort of compilation of things that inspire them so that I get a vibe of what they want.
Pinterest and Glitter Guide images are my favourite in the moodboard department.
And then I also create a little palette of textures/patterns I want to use. Sometimes some patterns don't make it onto the design but it's all good because this is the part where you just brainstorm your life out.
And the next image is what I really mean with brainstorming. Just let it all out!
For me that's always the funnest part. The less fun part is when you actually have to start putting things together so that your design doesn't look like a drawing of a 5 year-old.
Anyway, I had been wanting to give my serious-looking blog a makeover for a longggggg time and even though I got some bad headaches from looking at the computer for five straight hours, I'm glad I did.
Plus, it got me in the mood for the blog designs I'm working on and I won't lie, it kind of refreshed my memory HTML-wise
And the last things I need to work:
Comfy pair of Uggs, fake Uggs that is ( I just can't bring myself to buy a real pair, it's a matter of pride. And lack of money.)
COFFEE to get my brain cells going
And last but not least, my cute doggie making a seriously convincing puppy face.

I love the new look! It's so pretty and I'm loving all the pastels. You make me want to redesign my whole blog as well, but I just did that (with my limited html "skills") and I'm to lazy to start all over again, haha ^^ Great work dear! x

i know it sounds and looks so simple but i really needed this! i tend to skip this part and just start messing around, but i'm realizing more and more that it's such an important part of the design process, it just simply cannot be overlooked. thanks for sharing- and i love your ideas so far, especially the glitter!
